2. Guy has a girlfriend living among the Cree, her name, Wenonah. She is 30 years old, sallow skin, smooth black hair she cuts at shoulder length over a solid muscular body, with small firm breasts and curvy buttocks and slim brown legs. She wears tanned hide she made herself as dress with high collar and fringed mid calf hem. She does not use undergarments. She lives on the Cree Tribe property outside Winnipeg in a small, isolated cabin she and Guy built with help of the tribe's younger persons. They have no children. They only lived together a year. Wenonah is great grand daughter of ancient Nokomis who before she died at age 144 transmitted her wisdom of a Cree Indian double lifetime to Miss Ali and Guy and arranged that Wenonah should be brought up under Ali's guidance. Wenonah went to University in Winnipeg getting a Bachelor of Arts with minors in the physical sciences. She chooses the Cree life style. She teaches school for the children in Cree and English.
Guy's Fire Walk had been a watershed for the Cree Tribe. While conversing with Monitor, Guy was allowed to access the information into a finger-size electronic plug-in that fit USB connections and had what might be called Encyclopedia Galactica from the ET civilization. Also it contained hi-tech prediction of the future of Earth for the next hundred years. From it, the Cree, directed by Guy, could rapidly accumulate billions in US dollars from its allowing them to predict with high accuracy the immediate future of events on Earth.
After Guy returned from the Fire Walk, weeks were spent with the elders assessing what he had found and deciding on the path to Future on Mars. Here is summary:
The Elders believed Guy's recounting of his talk with Monitor. The miraculous appearance of the plug-in, in Guy's possession, gave a reality to what Guy said. A number of projects were begun: a financial group set about investing Cree capital in world money market, futures. The land the Cree owned around Winnipeg was legally, strongly further protected from expected attempts by new settlers to displace them. Firm financial ownership was established; politicians were bribed to confirm residual Indian ownership of the land. Further, a corps of young Cree were sent out for specialty university training in astronautics and other important technologies so that by 20 years the Cree of Manitoba would be a scientific people. The whole community was affected and a renewed interest was started in teaching the Cree language, which it had been determined would be the language of the new people on Mars.
A week after Guy had made the Fire Walk, he suggests to Wenonah they journey into Winnipeg to a favorite Italian restaurant. They rarely go to restaurants but this is a special date. The restaurant is called Chianti after the famous dry red wine; it is 20 tables in a darkened room, and with a smooth waiter in tuxedo suit. Guy sits next to Wenonah on her left at a small round table. He asks, "Shall I do the ordering?"
"Of course, you are my beloved companion," she replies. "My husband although we do not marry the paleface way. As your squaw, I defer to you."
He beckons the waiter. "Andre, we shall do desultory eating so be patient."
"Certainly, sir." Andre is a tan skin Sicilian with Saracen high cheekbones and Roman nose and black gleaming hair fragrant with tonic. He is the waiter-singer of the Chianti.
"OK, bring us for starters, shrimp cocktails topped with lemon twists and red hot sauce," Guy pauses. "Oh yes, goblets of chianti, too." After Andre arrives and pours the chianti, Guy requests: "And sing us "Soanish Eyes". (To listen to listen to it click

After Andre finishes singing, Guy tells the gist of the Fire Walk and Wenonah being an Indian asks no questions; she understands and accepts. When he finishes, she replies without emotion. "Good, I shall look forward to the death of every paleface. It is fitting that Wassington and Dorondo (She pronounces like an Indian) suffer the fire of hell for what they did to us."Guy, who is not nationalistic or racial, but is, intellectually, strongly affected by ideas of Earth resources conservation adds his somewhat different approval of her expression of happiness over the fate of USA. "Those greedy, corrupt European settlers and offspring threw away their right to be treated with humane feelings by what they did to the land and its life. I too look forward to seeing them roast." He chuckles and adds, "You know, Winny, we are like the god in the story of Noah except we do not even allow one just man survivor among what you call paleface and I call Americans."
Andre arrives with glasses of dark red Chianti. It is not Guy's and Wenonah's habit to have alcohol because they do not like to set a bad example for anyone they eat with and also because they do not consider it good health and finally they think it a bad sign of elitism. However, on special occasion, when they are alone, and far from home, and also far from the madding crowd of humanity, they will each have a glass of chianti at Chianti under Andre's serenading Spanish Eyes, always ordered before the food and sipped slowly before the start to eat in order to get good effect in brain.
"And I think you should have children but not by me because I am not Indian. Now that we are planning an Indian emigration from Earth we must not have other DNA mix with the good Amerindian genes."
Wenonah shows no expression. She and Guy are in tune. They sip the Chianti, slowly, quietly. Guy passes his hand under the table to Wenonah's knee and runs it up between and she opens for him.
They sit back relaxed as Andre arrives with the shrimp cocktails. After several minutes of the Chianti absorption into the blood, Guy produces two small scissors, hands one to Wenonah and each cuts small pieces to eat with chopsticks to maximize and slow the enjoyment.
The rest of the dinner is enjoyed and they discuss cultural things as is their wont. Then they go to a small motel and make love, leaving the lights on.
