35. A Month Later: Shacking-Up at the Shack
Like a weakly nourished fruit on a tree transplanted from poor soil and growing in a richer soil, Ryo, a month after arriving, is a juicy fruit and Eddie's money is the root.
First, she is relieved of taking care of children and old mother. With an assured monthly cash that gets wired home at start of month, her better-fed mother is raising the kids, now well fed and better clothed. And Ryo is not sentimental about not seeing her kids; rather, it is a great relaxation.
Second, she is well fed and her skin shows it and her hair fills in and her openings are juicier.
Third, she is getting sex like she never got - even when she had her husband. A middle aged woman at the desires of a 20-year-old previously near virgin, monogamous guy.
Each time Eddie wants sex - while Ryo is doing what Eddie jokingly calls her ablutions in the wash room - he will shout from the waiting bed, "Clean all your holes."
Fourth, Ryo is making new acquaintances in the neighborhood: shopping, going with Eddie to see the American movies across the bridge and to play Bingo at the army camp on Tuesday nights with the other soldiers and their Only's.
